Witches' Hats

These witches’ hats are a fun treat that you and your children can make together. They are easy to prepare but look fantastic.

For 6 “hats” you will need:

• 6 ice-cream cones
• 6 round biscuits (about 8 cm across)
• 100 g of dark chocolate
• coloured icing, plus your choice of sugar sprinkles and cake decorations

 

How to make it:

Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Brush the melted chocolate on to one side of each biscuit and on the outside of the ice-cream cones. Place a cone on each of the biscuits (upside down, of course) brushing extra chocolate on to the points where they join to make sure they are well stuck together.
Leave the hats to rest for a couple of minutes, then decorate them however you like using coloured icing, sprinkles and so on.
